Welcome to our website! As we have the ability to list over one million items on our website (our selection changes all of the time), it is not feasible for a company our size to record and playback the descriptions on every item on our website. However, if you are an American with a disability we are here to help you. Please call our disability services phone line at 405-224-5007 during regular business hours and one of our kind and friendly personal shoppers will help you navigate through our website, help conduct advanced searches, help you choose the item you are looking for with the specifications you are seeking, read you the specifications of any item and consult with you about the products themselves. There is no charge for the help of this personal shopper for any American with a disability. Finally, your personal shopper will explain our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service, and help you place an order if you so desire.

Foy Streetman the owner of Gorilla World and his wife Betty got their start by opening a Mercantile Store in a small town in West Texas. In their next business venture, they started a company that manufactured ladies’ sportswear in Abilene, Texas. Eventually, the business was sold.

As the family grew to include two sons and two daughters, the Streetmans ran a handbag manufacturing company in New Orleans, which was sold after a few years.

Next, Foy went to work with Niver Western Wear from Fort Worth, Texas. He led the shirt division in Sherman, Texas. Eventually, he bought the business and merged with WesternBelt Manufacturing company in Chickasha, OK and the family relocated there.

In 1980, Betty started a ladies' fashion store. It was eventually sold. The oil boom of this period attracted Foy, who had learned the oil and gas business from his father, a contract operator in West Texas.

In 2005, Foy bought the Old Lighters Grocery Store building at 4310 South 4th St. in Chickasha and started Gorilla World as a tool supplier. In 2011, Foy bought a flooring business that was closing and increased his store's sales considerably.

In 2014, we added landscaping rock, saving local customers the long drive to Oklahoma City. In 2015, the home appliance section was added, which also increased sales. In the spring of 2017, we added the Gorilla Sleep World Department, which again contributed significantly to our sales.

This growth in the variety and amount of our inventory led us to add a credit component to help customers finance their purchases. Take advantage of our local business for very competitive prices and lower sales tax.
